Khushdaman Kaur secures 15th rank in Punjab and 2nd in Tarn Taran

Khadur Sahib: Running under the spiritual guidance of noted educationist and environmentalist Baba Sewa Singh Kaar Sewa Wale, the renowned institution Baba Gurmukh Singh Uttam Singh Senior Secondary School has given a grand result in 10+2 Board classes under Punjab school education board (PSEB) in the session 2013-14. The school has secured 6 merit positions and, in this respect, outshine all the schools based in Tarn Taran as well as Amritsar and Gurdaspur.
Among 6 merit holders khushdaman kaur (science) has got 15th rank in Punjab with 95.11% marks. This student stood 2nd in Tarn Taran district. Simranjeet kaur (science) got 19th rank with 94.22% marks. In the commerce group, Jasbir kaur secured 19th rank with 94.22% marks. Geetika secured 21st rank with 93.78% marks. Boys also performed well–Sahil Sharma (science) secured 22nd rank with 93.56%. Harshdeep singh (science) secured 23rd rank with 93.33% marks.
Total 106 students appeared in the board examination. 74 of them were of science group and 32 students were of the commerce group. It is worth mentioning here that 15 students (Science and Commerce) out of total secured more than 90% marks. Likewise 57 students got more than 80% and 32 students got more than 70% marks. The whole of the school is proud of the achievements of these students.
Pertinently, Baba Sewa Singh announced to honour Khushdaman Kaur with cash price of 50,000 Rupees plus laptop and remaining meritorious students with cash prizes of 10,000 Rupees each. Moreover, he announced that if meritorious students chose to study further in the institutions running under Kaar Sewa Khadur Sahib, they would study free of cost. He blessed all these students and inspired them to achieve greater success in life.
On this occasion , the Director of the school S. Gurdial Singh Gill, The Principal , Madam Jaspal Kaur, Head mistress (Nursery wing) madam Kirandeep kaur and the whole staff congratulated all the students their parents. Director of Nishan-E-Sikhi Institute of Competitions Gursharanjit Singh Mann and Saroop Singh IPS (retd.) also felt proud of their grand success.
