Sri Guru Angad Dev Institute of Career and Courses

 

Initially it was started in 2008 under the able guidance of Brig. T.S. Aulakh (Retd.) with a batch of boys, and then onwards only the girl candidates are preferred especially those who are unable to go in for higher studies due to financial constraints with the motive of women empowerment. The  are provided free training for placement in various paramilitary forces, defence services like BSF, CRPF, ITBP, Army and Delhi Police, Chandigarh Police and Punjab Police in the course of three months. The training to girl candidates are being given by the retired officers of captain rank from the army. Constant efforts for recruitment training are in continuation. The institute is successfully running under the direction and keen supervision of S. Baldev Singh Sandhu, DGM (Retd.), Punjab & Sind Bank.

The Punjab and Maharashtra Co-operative Bank Limited (Head Office Mumbai) has extended their support to Sri Guru Angad Dev Institute of carrier and courses. With the efforts
of S. Daljit Singh Bal, Ex-Chairman of the bank Late S. Charanjit Singh Chaddha had donated Rs. 11 Lakh to the Iinstitute.  The current Chairman S.Waryam Singh has   also donated 11 lakh to the Institute and the bank is willing to donate the same amount in the coming years. Kaar Sewa Khadur Sahib and Nishan-E-Sikhi Charitable Trust (regd.) Khadur Sahib are thankful to the Bank and its authorities for their kind support in the interest of manki
